Mosaic Workshops On hold at the moment while moving to the U.K. I specialise in giving mosaic workshops at home in a friendly and informal atmosphere. A typical workshop morning usually runs from 9.00 to 12.30 pm. Coffee, tea and snacks are provided. I bought and am still buying my tiles here and there, so I work with different brands, qualities and thickness. This actually gives my work a special character. I pre-smash all the tiles before the workshops and put them in little containers. You as a student can use all the colours and materials you want. There are no restrictions in your choice of colours; therefore you can make your own unique piece of mosaic art.

We start working on a flat surface to get technique and design possibilities under control and to get feeling of mosaic... We make mirrors, hotplates, or blackboards. 2.Advanced: We go a step further and work on bowls and pots and use a mixed media of broken crockery and various shards, marbles, and all sorts of other assorted objects. This type of mosaic is called pique assiette. I can offer you for example Memory plates, door number- and nameplates, various flowerpots, bowls and garden tables. 3.‘Bring your own’ mornings: Still in the mood... got the feeling… and enjoy working with others? Than come and work together and ask for advice when necessary. You can make use of the material, choose a base from me or bring your own and work at your own pace. Special courses 2010  coming up soon

Although there are a variety of surfaces you can mosaic on, I love to shop around for special items and throw a course around them. I do not have an endless supply of each particular item which makes the courses completely unique. So I have a workshop of lovely big wooden bowls, inexpensive garden tables and nicely shaped flowerpots all year round and this season the home made garden cushions to mosaic. I will update my findings on this page from time to time and if possible I will show you a picture with an example of the project. These courses are usually undertaken by students who have already completed one of the previous workshops. 2009 item large Plant stands ( see picture at the gallery)

Parties: You can also book a party with friends and make a memory plate/table for a farewell or each of you works on your own project. You just phone me with your ideas and I will share my ideas so we can make a plan around it. Children and teenagers: Over the holidays I have mosaic workshops designed for children groups from the age of 9 year. You can also come over for children’s parties or I can come to your place.( max.10) Commission work: I also do commission work, you can give me for example all the crockery you don’t use anymore and I will turn it into a nice memory bowl/plate or anything else you'd like. I can make you a nameplate, a farewell present, a picture frame, a splashboard, I can mosaic your favourite chair or bench in the garden or… whatever! Your wish is my challenge. Email me for details.
